About Hyndr
Hyndr is a free Internet Health Check. It measures how well your connection really works, explains what the numbers mean in plain language, and suggests safe next steps when something is wrong.
1. Why Hyndr exists
Most speed tests give you one big number. But a connection with a high download speed can still freeze video calls, lag in games or stall when someone else starts a download. Those problems usually come from delay, jitter or instability, which a single number hides.
Hyndr's name comes from the question it tries to answer: what is hindering your connection? The aim is to help anyone, not only network experts, understand what is happening and what to try next.
2. What Hyndr does
- Measures download and upload speed, ping, jitter and delay under load.
- Combines them into a 0–10 health score and checks common activities such as video calls, gaming and streaming.
- Explains each result in plain language and suggests practical, safe next steps.
Read how the Health Check works for the method, and how to understand your results for what the numbers mean.
3. What Hyndr does not do
- It does not read your files, scan your devices or track your browsing.
- It does not change your router, Wi-Fi or computer settings.
- Its results are estimates from one moment in time and are not legal proof against an internet provider.
See accuracy and limitations for what a browser-based test can and cannot show.
4. Privacy by design
The Health Check works fully without an account, name or email address. You choose whether Hyndr may save a limited result summary for up to 30 days to improve measurement accuracy; the check works the same either way. Like any website, Hyndr processes your IP address while your device is connected, including for security and abuse prevention, but it is not stored in the optional summary.
Read what Hyndr saves or the full Privacy Policy.
5. Who runs Hyndr
Hyndr is built and run by Team Hyndr, an independent two-person team based in India. Hyndr is an early-stage project and is not yet a registered company. These pages will be updated with the legal entity's details once one is formed.
Hyndr is free to use, does not show advertising and does not sell personal data.
6. What's next
Hyndr is in public beta. Over time we would like to make the diagnosis more precise, add more plain-language guides, and help people pinpoint whether a problem sits in their Wi-Fi, their device or their provider's network. Plans can change, and features will be added only when they are reliable.
Your feedback shapes what comes next.
